We offer a quality school readiness early learning program for traditional care too!
Aside from knowledgeable and caring staff, a well-designed, clean facility, one of the biggest benefits that sets us apart is that we are typically open when other child care options are unavailable. We do not follow a school calendar- we are open more days than most other care centers. With our flexibility and non-traditional model, you will miss less work when your child attends Hour Kids for weekly care.
We have the following care options for traditional care:
Half day (a.m) classes for all age groups
Hourly rates
Prepaid "pay-as-you-go" accounts
Daily flat rates
Part Time Schedules
Full Time Schedules
Themed PNO's (Parent Night Out)
Hour Kids uses The Creative Curriculum and it is carried out by qualified teachers. The Creative Curriculum covers the following domains: Dramatic play, Social/Emotional Development, Pre-math, pre-literacy learning, language development, science, art, sensory and music exploration we balance this with scheduled free-play. All classroom staff become CPR and First aid qualified within 30 days, as well as becoming LEAD TEACHERQUALIFIED within their first 120 days of employment. This means responsible adults are caring for your children during their whole day on site- not just in the mornings (like most other traditional care centers).
Safety First.
In addition to panoramic, high resolution cameras in each classroom, we have cameras outside recording play and monitoring for safety on our 1,700SF, fully fenced-in and shaded playground.
Welcome to our Infant Rooms!
Infants receive individualized attention in a small group setting. We strive to provide excellent communication about your child's time with us through in-person updates and an app we use to track daily care. Also, we have more one on one interaction and a higher quality of care because as the state infant care ratio is 1:4, our Infant room operates at 1:3. Our infant curriculum offers art, sensory, language development and social/emotional activities.
Welcome to our Toddler Rooms!
Toddlers explore in a safe and clean toddler-sized classroom. They are engaged in self-directed learning balanced with structured learning experiences (like group time, stories, finger plays, table activities, music & movement experiences and open-ended art activities).
Our Toddlers experience one-on-one time throughout their day, and they have opportunities to engage in play with new and familiar friends. Our Toddler room focuses on creating predictable care routines and social emotional development.
Get to know our Preschool Program!
Preschoolers will have stimulating days full of learning academic concepts- yet they will be allowed plenty of time to be kids! Hour Kids incorporates self-directed and open-ended learning. With the Creative Curriculum our preschoolers will focus on pre-literacy skills, they will also begin to experiment with science, gain exposure to math concepts and have open-ended sensory and art opportunities. The preschool teachers will offer small group and whole group learning experiences with stories, songs, finger plays, fine motor activities, and large motor group games that will all be related to our monthly themes. Preschoolers will be guided and encouraged to develop their social emotional and self-help skills when they're with us.

We can care for school-age children on release days as well as during winter break, spring break and summer break. Our school-age days are designed to meet the ages and interest of these older children. Parents can utilize our walk-in care option or reserve full days, half days or full weeks at a time. School-age children will participate in thematic activities twice a day on school release days. During the school year, we offer homework and literacy support. Hour Kids limits screen time to evening care and special center-wide viewing events.
